    Make Cardboard Masks! Dress Up with Cardboard Art and Take a Commemorative Picture!
    Attach your favorite objects to a cardboard mask base. Then color it and decorate it with tape to create a one-of-a-kind original mask.
    Once completed, we’ll take a commemorative photo together! Cardboard art from the exhibition booth can also be worn for the photograph. This workshop is fun for both kids and adults.

    Make a Giant Rising Dragon with Newspaper!
    Create dragon scales by drawing on newspaper, working together to create a giant rising dragon. Once completed, we’ll take a commemorative photo together with the rising dragon! (Photo for reserved session only)

Program Note

Entitled Exhibitions and Art Workshops: Experience Art through Familiar Objects, this year’s Creator’s Factory (Art Division) at Kyoto International Film Festival 2023 is designed to help discover the future creators of the next generation by providing an opportunity to intimately experience art through workshops and pieces by artists who’ve been involved with our past events.
Fun for both kids and adults, the workshops allow participants to experience art up close. We look forward to seeing you.

Ichiko Miwa Profile Ichiko Miwa works as a graphic designer with the creative team kiske3, and as joint owner and art director of padGallery. Creating three-dimensional sculptures and installation pieces using plastic, Miwa’s art is rooted in a longing and awe for nature, and a world filled with life and death. Yuhei Takada Profile Studying under Shozo Shimamoto, ecological artist Yuhei Takada creates works mainly with newspaper, transforming waste into art. He is active across Japan, working as the art director of GALLERY12, windfall gallery, director of the NPO Geibo, and an AU member. “I want to do something interesting, something that no one’s ever done before. That is the foundation of my creations.”
